After a wonderfully busy and exciting couple of months, The Vurger Co has taken a very short break to the city that never sleeps and it’s been an incredible few days so far! Part research, part leisure, the first couple of days has seen us take in some of the fantastic food this amazing place has to offer.
We’ve listened to all your amazing suggestions, and we’ve still got the rest of the week to fit in lots more so thank you so much for sending them and please keep them coming!
By Chloe – 185 Bleecker Street
A long-awaited visit to By Chloe didn’t disappoint, with vegan treats galore in a relaxed and lively location on one of our favourite streets in New York. It’s fair to say we over-ordered, all in the name of research of course, but it was fantastic to see meat-free food served up the way it should be – fast, fresh and accessible.
Mother of Pearl – 95 Avenue A
Dinner at Mother of Pearl was an absolute delight. Chef Daphne Cheng, one of New York’s leading vegetable maestros, has crafted a beautiful menu which really pushes the boundaries of how vegetables can be used to create an incredible dining experience. This one is really special and well worth a visit the next time you are in town – the edamame spring rolls are to die for!
Superiority Burger – 430 E 9th Street
Brooks Headley’s Superiority Burger was high on our list of must-trys and his tiny but perfectly formed space on 9th street was fantastic. A really simple menu, Superiority Burger has a real buzz and the food is innovative and delicious.
New York really is a plant-based paradise with no shortage of options. London is catching up fast and we are so unbelievably excited to be a part of that revolution, serving up the best veggie burgers in London.
We have got some incredibly exciting news to give you all when we get back next week, so stay tuned, stay happy and look forward to the full Vurger Co experience, “popping-up” very soon!
