Useless talent - I can wiggle my ears!!!

What's your best memory from growing up?

Christmas was always absolutely magical! My parents always went out of their way to create a huge surprise every year and they were always unforgettable!

You can invite 3 people (dead or alive) to a dinner at The Vurger Co.- who would they be?

Firstly I would invite Rachel, aka our fearless leader! She is an inspiration to me every day, is relentlessly optimistic and simply never gives up! Secondly I would invite Barack Obama. We can debate his politics and he might not have got everything right, but I firmly believe that he always acted with integrity and in what he felt were the best interests of his country - rare traits in world leaders at the moment! He also happens to be, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest orators of our time, and I’m sure would be fantastic company. Finally it would be Kevin Hart. I didn’t know much about him previously but I recently watched his stand up show from Madison Square Garden and I can’t remember the last time I laughed that hard - proper belly laughs and tears rolling down my face. Laughter feeds the soul and so he would be a great addition to the table!

If you could pick one song to be the soundtrack to your life what would it be?

Such a tough question - there’s so many! If I have to choose one, it would be Lose Yourself - Eminem. My life has so far been a weird, winding and wonderful road of ups and downs, and this track symbolises the person I always aspire to be. Life is an incredible mixture of light and shade and the only way out and up is straight through, and we all need reminding of that sometimes. I definitely have moments where I can’t see the way forward and it’s the people closest to you who help you to see the light and to keep fighting!

If you could live anywhere in London where would you live?

If you’d asked me this question years ago in my foolish early twenties, I would have said a beautiful mews house in Notting Hill and nothing less! But I’ve learnt as I’ve got older to appreciate the simpler things and it’s made me a much happier and more centred person. The reality is home is where the heart is, and that’s right where I live now. For now, and for the last 10 years, home has been Hackney Wick and Stratford, East London, but who knows where home will be in the future!

Pick a superpower!

A time machine would be fantastic, but until that’s invented, I would have to say intelligence. I would love to have a freakishly powerful super-brain (like the film ‘Limitless’ with Bradley Cooper) - with that I could figure anything out, I could learn loads of languages and I could always know what to do at all times.
